UPDATE 4/8/24 - Motion passed 5-0 for County to Partner with CBVRS to provide 24/7 EMS. I was the only one to speak in favor but I’ve had a number citizens say they support this. Thank You CBVRS and Westmoreland EMS for putting the citizens first.

Post from 3/28/24

During the Board of Supervisors (BOS) Work Session on 3/25/24 Westmoreland EMS proposed placing a full time EMS (24 hour Ambulance) in CB through a partnership with our Volunteer Rescue Squad.  The BOS votes on April 8th at 6:00pm and I believe Citizens should show up to support this like they did to save the Rescue Squad 2 years ago.  To me this seems to be a great way to keep our citizens safe while allowing Citizens to continue volunteering.  They have a preliminary plan if the BOS approves CB could have 24 coverage starting as early as May 1st. The program would be phased in and appears to benefit all involved and especially our Citizens that live an hour from the nearest hospital.
