Wednesday 6/5 is the BIG Day! Taxes up once again unless Council Takes ACTION. Business and Individuals may once again take a hit due to out of control spending.
Join me at 22 Washington Ave at 6pm voice your concerns about Meals, Lodging and Cottage tax increases in addition to the Water and Sewer rates that went up already! Just because town staff says we have no choice doesn’t mean council has to say yes go ahead and empty the citizens wallets. Only if you speak up can change happen. I also would appreciate citizens speaking for a finance committee to help us get these numbers under control.

Interesting that no one sent in comments when this proposed tax increase was posted for citizens comments. And, according to the rationale, these taxes have not increased in over 10 years. Hard to argue with an increase after all that time.
